BetterRoads — For Government & City Officials

BetterRoads.xyz is a civic platform where people report road conditions — potholes, cracks, damaged markings, broken traffic lights, flooding, and city cleanliness issues — directly on an interactive map. First-hand reports, straight from the community to you.

📍 What you get:
  • Real-time map of reported road issues with exact GPS coordinates
  • Citizen reports with photos — verified from first hand
  • Issue categories: Road Quality, Traffic Control, City Cleanliness
  • Status tracking: Active → Confirmed → Fixed
  • Share reports with other organizations, services, and agencies
🤝 Our contribution:

Every road should meet a good standard — flat, no bumps, no holes, no big cracks. Comfortable and safe, not damaging vehicles. BetterRoads provides the data to help identify which roads need inspection, classification, and repair to meet that standard.

🚧 How it helps:
  • See where bad roads are — reported directly by residents
  • Send inspectors to identify and classify road conditions
  • Establish and improve road quality standards
  • Plan and prioritize repairs based on real community data
  • Build a complete record of road conditions over time
📋 The system — how it should work:
  1. Citizens report — residents identify and report road problems with photos and GPS location
  2. Government reviews — officials see all reports on the map in real time
  3. Inspectors sent — teams are dispatched to inspect and classify each road condition
  4. Standard applied — each road is evaluated: does it meet the standard? Flat, no holes, no cracks, safe, not damaging vehicles
  5. Repairs ordered — all roads that don't meet the standard are scheduled for repair
  6. Status updated — once fixed, the report is marked as resolved on the map
  7. Shared widely — data can be shared with city departments, construction services, emergency services and other agencies who need to act
